Festival of Languages and International Food attracted more than 300 people in Cambourne on Saturday, the 12th of February 2022, at the Hub Community Centre, where British Sign Language, Urdu, Panjabi, Farsi, Bengali, Telugu, English, Japanese, Arabic and Hindi were demonstrated and explained to the visitors.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion – the very essence of a multicultural society. The more we understand the differences, a respectful, unified, and balanced society we make. Cambourne is a Town where nearly 60 languages are spoken and we need to acknowledge this diversity to make a better place to live in.
The stall holders were appreciated by the residents and visitors who put efforts into exhibiting different global languages at the festival. A great variety of authentic home-cooked food from different countries was also served as part of the International Food Festival.
