Inequalities Challenge Prize 2023 Finalist

Won Inequalities Challenge Prize 2023

Cambourne’s local charity CamCare UK was chosen as a finalist for the seed funding awarded for the NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Health Inequalities Challenge Prize 2023.

Camcare UK understands Inequalities in Socioeconomic Status, Community Empowerment, Education, Early Childhood Interventions, Race and Ethnicity, Income and Geography.

This is an honour to be shortlisted among many initiatives in this region. This year’s Health Inequalities Challenge Prize theme is personalised caregiving, and our charity’s primary focus is to serve the community through different personalised care ideas for the senior members of the community.

Local people have more control over and say in their health and care services. The focus on delivering Personalised Care approaches means community-led projects will be supported to increase opportunities for people to choose and control how their health and care are planned and delivered.

Local organisations and individuals can apply for the Challenge Prize to make their exciting, personalised care idea a reality. As the Challenge Prize is all about reducing health inequalities, applicants are encouraged to focus their projects on helping a specific group of people – whether that’s veterans, people with learning disabilities, or other communities who tend to face barriers when it comes to health and care.
